​​LLAL is a civil and structural engineering consultancy founded in Trinidad in 1970. For over five decades, we have delivered rigorous, reliable engineering across the Caribbean on projects that range from national healthcare and education facilities to commercial developments, institutional buildings, and complex structural repairs.


Our practice is built on three commitments: accuracy in every design and recommendation, reliability across every stage of delivery, and a genuine investment in advancing engineering practice in the region. At LLAL we work to international codes, with a unique understanding of Caribbean conditions. LLAL was founded in Trinidad and Tobago in 1969 by Engineer Lauriston Lewis with one purpose, to hold Caribbean engineering to the highest international standards.

The firm today is led by the second generation of the professionals who built it. The methods have advanced but the standards and commitment to the region have never wavered.
